Mongolian Market Place

Design process for buildings found in the mongolian empire. The focus lied on the cultural fusion of local architecture in mongol territory by combining buddhist temples with the nomadic yurts, scaffolding, tarps and other temporary structures.
I included and focused more on civilian architecture, as the mongolian empire is often defined through its warfare in pop culture, undermining other interesting historical aspects of the empires society.
